And if you have five seconds to spare…

I am passionate about writing! I was born this way – in Greater Manchester although my parents moved south when I was three – and I can never remember a time when I didn’t read and write as much as I could. The written word is like fresh air to me. When I’m not writing to earn a living (presently mostly health articles as well as some travel and general features/interviews) or for pure pleasure (my stories), I love walking our dog with my fabulous wife Debs and our wonderful little boys Daniel River (born 2009) and Darley Evan (born 2011). We’re blessed to live in Devon now. I grew up in the Chilterns, and lived there for 20 years until I went on travels around the world on a series of one-way tickets by the age of 24. Then I spent 15 years living all over London, especially around Islington, before finally settling near Kingston-upon-Thames for several years – until returning to the rural life I knew growing up, but in Devon rather than Buckinghamshire.
